Many metabolic peptide hormones—including active GLP-1, glucagon, GIP, oxyntomodulin and other incretins— are rapidly degraded after blood collection by endogenous proteases and DPP-IV activity.

BD™ P800 delivers enhanced accuracy in measuring plasma metabolic markers such as GLP-1, Glucagon, non-acyl Ghrelin, GIP and Oxyntomodulin by stabilizing them directly at the point of collection.

BD™ P800 tubes are specifically engineered to address this challenge by incorporating:
